Pain Relief and Correction
- Chiropractic care
offers a drug-free and non-surgical approach for pain- relief and correction of chronic pain disorders.
- Prevention and
rehabilitation is a key part of our care plan.
|
Most people seek chiropractic care for pain relief; usually of a subacte or
chronic type.
ACUTE PAIN: INJURY
The degree of injury; mild, moderate or severe will be determined at the time of
examination. Acute or just injured, less than 3-5 day since injured, usually
requires ice and rest type treatment.
SUB-ACUTE PAIN: INJURY
Is either of a minor type or the initial phase 3-5 days has passed and natural
healing is hopefully taking place*. Depending on your physical/ mental/emotional
health and fitness will determine how fast and complete you can recover without
any long term problems with pain and disability.
* Natural healing: Your body has the innate ability to heal itself. The major requirements are good blood flow and nerve function. Combined with your belief/faith that your body has this healing ability.
Restoring proper nerve function is what chiropractic is focused on.
|
- The spine is the most frequent place where
nerves are interfered with.
- Nerve interference affects the functional
capacity of the nerve to receive and send
information to all parts of the body.
- Problems located in the spine, vertebral
subluxations, can hinder your response to
innate healing.
- These problems can also weaken your body
making you more susceptible to injuries or
weakness and eventual pain disorders.
Performance Levels:
Your physical abilities will not be optimal and your
performance in your daily activities as well as work or
recreational activities will not reach your expectation.
Left uncorrected these vertebral subluxation cause premature degeneration of the disc and vertebra leading to chronic pain, stiffness and weakness. ---------------------------------- Nerves become damaged resulting in leg and arm numbness, pain and weakness.
|
Treatment plans are determined on individual bases.
Usually results are experienced with 6-12 sessions,
followed up by any needed exercise therapy for restoration
or rehabilitation to be fully reached.
Depending on the degree of damage or degeneration that
is already present may require longer periods of care and
even lifetime regular visits to prevent greater damage and
maintain as fit a condition as possible for you.
