Hip stiffness will cause
poor balance and loss of power.
  Arm Movement and Balance

Prior to actually moving your arm your abdominal and back stabilizing
muscles are activated.
Chronic pain disrupts the reflex action causing
changes in balance and stability.

Problem: If this sequence is weakened either by chronic pain or
reconditioning from lack of exercise, your timing for maintaining balance
is interfered with. This causes you to make compensations in your
swing path.

Solution: Chiropractic and Neuromuscular Re-Education Exercises.
Proper TEMPO {3:1} requires a body that can
maintain balance and core stability.

Testing-Training Balance

  • The golf swing requires a high level
of balance in order to produce a
    powerful smooth swing.

  • Research has shown that balance
    improves with specific exercises.

  • Loss of muscle mass and nerve
    interference is the most common
    cause of poor balance.
  • Prior to starting your back swing; your body is already anticipating the need to stabilize and balance your body.

  • Starting back to fast will not provide sufficient time (1/10 of a second - the time is takes to blink) for your hips to make the moves for
you to get into the proper position at the top of your swing and be able to transition into the critical moment to start your downswing
    approach.
Muscles need to be elastic.
This allows you to load-up the potential
force required to produce the torque.
Torque is the force required for
acceleration of the club head.
